If you enter your URL and click on "Analyze", wao.io will generate a preview of your optimized website. With this preview you can view and test the optimized website through wao.io. The potential for improvement of your website is shown here as an analysis report. Please note: Your existing website will not be changed by this step.

Image: Selection of Domains
A selection of the domains are presented to you here. These will be optimized in the next steps, but the domains that do not belong to you must be deactivated first.

To prepare your site for the traffic, you only need to exit the preview mode. This will be lost after pressing the button.
Step 3: Change your DNS
To activate wao.io for your website (e.g. www.example.com), you need to change their DNS entries accordingly.

Image: Change your DNS entry
This step is performed at your DNS/domain provider.
We suggest the following setup:
www.example.com CNAME global.wao.zone.
example.com A 62.216.162.9
example.com A 185.159.110.6
In the article DNS configuration other options are described, such as TLS to TLS versions or hosting in the EU
All AAAA records (for IPv6-adresses) should be deleted.
Please note that in case of a DNS change it can take several hours up to a whole day until the change becomes active, depending on the DNS/domain provider. During the changeover phase your website will remain online and the old DNS entry will remain active until the new one takes effect.
A SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt is issued within minutes of the DNS changeover. Therefore no certificate problems are to be expected. If you want to use an existing certificate, you can have our support set it up.
